Out of Gordon Pass 4\26\14

Saturday 4\26 we left the dock at 8am with great seas and a 10 knot wind , we checked for bait at the pod but the tide was not rite yet for the white baits . We did not waste anytime looking for the bait inshore knowing we would find bait offshore and we really wanted to get out to the tower before it became a zoo , which it did . The first spot took us out to Tower R , we came pulling up on it at 9 am with only one boat already there :dance , we set up a chum slick , put a couple of baits to drift back and the Yellow Tails and Rudders start coming to us . We were not even fishing for 15 mins and we look to the east to see other vessels approaching , no biggie until we noticed one had a dive flag , 3 vessels pull up and anchor , the dive boat pulls up to about 20' of the tower and 2 go in , awesome , well that spot was blown in 15mins , but at least the divers got a nice AJ off the tower to about 30lbs , the bite just shuts down . We pull the hook at 10am and head west to or next spot in 95 ' a nice 30 min ride out , we come pulling up to our spot to find someone is already on it , no problem one of the beautiful things about fishing hard bottom is their is plenty of it and I have lots of chum . The party started at 10:30 am , 2 blocks over the side and small chunks of cut hearing being tossed out when every we had the chance . We fished there till about 3:30 pm pulling fish in left and right , there were a lot of Mangs and Lanes to play with and of course Grouper ( Gags , Scamps , and Reds ) . We hit one other spot on the way back in but the weather was turning sloppy quick to 3' to 5' , so we said we have plenty of dinner for the Sunday surf and turf and were back at the dock by 5:30 .Here are a couple of pics from the day , sorry not too many of them , I was to busy unhookin and baitin.

If guys can go deep get out there , their biting

Besides the great pics and nice work, I'd really like to compliment you for the demeanor you portray in the part of the post I quoted. A lot of guys would have ranted about the divers :machinegun and the guys on the same spot at 95' :machinegun as if they owned the tower and the hard bottom. But not you, you made the best of it. Well done man.

I have nothing against divers until their under my vessel , they would be just as pissed if not more if I pulled up on their spot and started dropping lines down on them .

Thanks all , hope ya all are getting out this weekend , it is supposed to be beautiful weather and great tides
    tight lines
