Estero this coming week Wed White bait

I will be down from Sarasota on Wednesday. How is white bait "supply"? Are they in the passes yet? Hoping to get some to fish the mangroves. Thank you! PS....

It's been up and down with the whitebait here in Estero. Haven't had much luck in the passes, but first light off the beaches is a good place to start. There have been some monster threads up at Sanibel C-span, but they're holding in deeper water and without the right net, they'll swim out from under you. A sabiki tipped with shrimp will put some in the well...you may get lucky if some push into the shallower water closer to Sanibel shoreline. Hope this helps and maybe I'll see you out there. What kind of vessel do you run? Anyhow, good luck.

Thank you! Totally helps. THIS is why I joined and participate on this forum! I will be out with my cousin on Wed. Master Angler with a "modified" (painted silver) 150. Thanks again!
