Soft crab done differently

chronicbreakchronicbreak Posts: 1,416 Officer
Usually we're grilling or smoking something on the weekends but with the rain yesterday we decided to burn some oil. Wanting to try something traditional but different we decided to thaw out some soft crab (we save the imperfect ones for ourselves), flounder and get some fresh Mayport shrimp (thanks to JR at the Beaver St Market). Have to admit the creation was more than we expected.

Soft crab

Started with layered bacon, flounder strip, soft crab and shrimp

All wrapped and ready

Finished

Foil basket of asparagus (had to add this because we fried everything else including left over shrimp and whole yellow corn)

Was a big hit but isn't bacon always a home run. BTW - sorry the pics are upside down
