Mid April Tarpon Report

Hope everyone has been enjoying this ever howling wind. It's kind of screwed up the night tarpon fishing the past couple weeks. Most of the numbers have moved out, but there are still fish around. They can't be far, but they are not concentrated at the moment. Thus, numbers have been lower, but we are still managing a few fish each trip.

Last night went out and went 1/1 on what looks like a river tarpon. It was pretty dark and gold, figure it came down to chew on all the bait around right now.

It was a special fish for the angler, his first tarpon and largest fish to date. It's also the smallest one landed so far this season, right around 60lbs. It made for a short, exciting fish full of leaps and head shakes. A perfect, manageable show for our angler.

Also landed some snook on white bait at the end of the night.

While this is great and all, I'm really waiting for the double digit fish nights to fire off. I'm tired of waiting 5 or 6 hours for a few fish. Got to pay to play though.

Catch them up!
