i may have posted this one not long back on another thread...
i like to shoot pelicans and other water birds in large groups...
there is always some humorous images...
in this case, if you look to the center of the image, there is a pelican looking into the camera...
it's like he's saying "what the f**k is your problem?"...

cedar key is a great place to see the whites....
they show up in october and i have seen them there as late as may....
bring a boat so you can ease over to north key, they like to gather at the south end...
you can shut your motor down and drift on deadmans channel which will bring you quietly under a 100' and as close as 50' before they get a little spooky...

there is also a very large eagles nest on the south end...the same pair come back year after year....

    Nice shot mac.

BUT...if you knew anything about bird morphology you'd know that the bird you point out is actually the only one NOT looking at the camera.

    Just sayin...

Another great place to see the white pelicans in the winter is in the St. Johns river. They are here ever year to feed on shad.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon... No matter how good you are, the bird is going to crap on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

we're pretty fortunate this far north to get mergansers of all species and abundance through the winter and into early spring...

those are good images...as if they are posing for you...

the images of the roseate are pretty spectacular...
some one who is a regular here posted one image of of one that brought up a lot of discussion becuase of their rarity...
then you go out and finds flock (is "flock the right term for a bunch of spoonbills?), and nail some great images...

keep it up...you're doing some good stuff...

When I wasn't payin attention, this troublemaker took one of my Pinfish.

After he had finished, he let me know what he thought. Good food, or being sassy, not sure which.

    Awesome...
my late fil painted a picture he called the "two fishermen"...
the image is a man sitting on the dock and throwing his catch in a bucket between he and gbh....
the gbh has a fish in his mouth...it's an amusing image...

i asked hin what inspired the image...his comment was "what do think?"...he was the victim....i spewed a perfectly good beer....

lol Id love to see it. Pins are the bait of choice where Ive been goin, and we jig them with a spec/cane pole. I'm glad the mullet are startin to run again, I can get bait in one toss and not have to worry about turnin my back......

From past "hook-up" incidents, I have learned to fear their piercing bill; the thought of teeth never occured to me.
