Open Carry when camping/fishing in ENP

I'm trying to find the specifics as to whether or not I can open carry in the Everglades, I think it would follow under Federal laws, not State, and if I can't open carry, does the gun need to be in a secure case, etc. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

Call one of the ranger stations down there they will have all the info you need.

You do need a state license to hunt or fish there but I would check anyway.
I have to admit I am a FISHAHOLIC.

I have open carried in state and national parks around the country with no problems at all. The Everglades will be covered by Federal laws and other than NOT being allowed to enter any of the federal buildings (Ranger offices and things like that) open carry in Florida, in the Glades is legal. It better be as I open carry all the time when I'm down there.

You may want to call 305-242-7731 to confirm this for yourself. It's the Everglades law office, as it were.

If it turns out that the ENP is covered by STATE laws, then state pre-emption comes into play and that also makes it legal to open carry.
