3/30 windy HSB

Launched around 1030a to hawking N wind. I had planned on trying for a late sheepshead bite but that was quickly squashed by the white caps everywhere. We tried the flats for awhile with no luck. It probably didn't help that my skiff was doing about 10 knots on the drift. We decided to tuck in to some more protected waters. Started drifting baits along some bars with the incoming tide and the trout were home. We boated 12 with 5 keepers. Tried hunting some reds but a small rat that chased a spoon to the boat we the most we could muster. Called it a day knowing we had a bumpy ride home.

Good job. I was due south and had similar results. I spooked some reds in a creek but they definitely weren't chewing. I've never seen white caps in creeks but I did today!

Nice trout! Seems like it's always windy, raining, or both for us guys that fish on the weekends.

Kinda glad I had a Honey do weekend. The wind was bad at the house, can only imagine what it would have been like out there.
Good job on the trout and staying out of it.
