Bad trade for the rays. They could have got this season out of him and then traded for a lot more over the winter or next season.

We won't know about the quality of the trade for some time, just like you don't know about a college draft for a couple of years at least.

Agree 100%. Probably get some fan backlash on this. Looks like they traded him in a "fire sale".

This thread has died as it should. Last Red Suxs game drew 10,000 (that was probably a stretch). Too bad the season went the way it has. Have out of town relatives coming in for the Baltimore games. Probably be at two of the three. Tickets will be purchased at Fergs and hopefully real cheap.

I'm not sure if they would win out they would make the play offs. Good base of players for next season if they don't go trade crazy. Tonight's game not being televised :shrug. That time of year.

I was there this afternoon. Peralta heavily booed after his showing. Loss was bad enough but all of Baltimore's run were batted in by a drug policy abuser. Had a feeling the Rays leaving the bases loaded three times was going to bite them in the butt. It did.
