WIND, BASS AND CRAPPIE

Originally, the plan was to hit up Palm Valley for some back water Reds from my buddies Gheenoe but, water was too rough. Packed up and headed back home. Dropped off the Gheenoe and loaded up the kayaks! We decided to go after some Bass in a productive neighborhood pond. We didn't catch too many giants but did get quite a few in the 3-4LB range. Also picked up my biggest Crappie which was pretty cool. Got to fish an hour before rain came in and sent us packing up.

Bait used and Rigging

My buddy was using Zoom Finesse worms in red. I was throwing Zoom U-Tails in Junebug color. We were fishing mostly the banks where the fish are sitting in Beds. Since the water is pretty shallow and the fish were being spooky, we went with 1/8th oz. Bullet weights to minimize splash down. Hooks were 3/0 Gamakatsu off-set worm hooks.
