Key West Fishing/Diving trip: VIDEO

Hey guys:

Us college kids from UCF finally got a break from school and headed down to Key West for some fishing and diving this spring break. As far as a report goes the weather couldn't of worked out better for us, thankfully. We got in 3 and a half solid days full of fishing and diving then the weather turned on us and gave us a great excuse to go get wild on Duvaul Street. Had some encounters with sharks and cudas...flew the new Quadcopter...overall got some awesome shots. Check it out.

The video of all the fishing and diving is below....give it a look.

Actually landed that mackerel but the GoPro died just before the grab so no footage unfortunately.

Wind is definitely a factor when deciding to fly it over the water...we were lucky to have super light winds and a calm ocean. So we deemed it safe to fly. Oh but watch out for the seagulls, I'm dead serious when i say this, we had one try and land on the quadcopter while in flight haha.

I just ordered one of those Quadcopters. That looks sweet. I am serious about what editing software you are using? I am using a software called Vegas Movie Studio software but am not sure how much I like it....

I have used iMovie final cut 7 and final cut 10. I used final cut 10 to edit this video. I like 7 but since it is old technology you have to compress all the clips prior to import. Ive never herd of vegas movie but if your just learning I would use iMovie. If your experienced with editing then i would go with final cut 10.

Lucky for me I don't have to see her. Make sure you get plenty of practice and watch DJIs videos.

Awesome. Great job on those hogfish. You guys didn't cut them any slack!

Bold move with going after open lobster with the bare hand; 1 for 2 ain't bad considering the technique.

Thanks. I may give that a try. I am new to editing video but I just tried out the new Go Pro editing software and it is pretty easy to use. I made a fairly simple video with it with some graphics and sound etc. Came out pretty good. Quad Copter gets here tomorrow. Cant wait to start shooting some video with that.

alrighty!! got my phantom quadcopter in the mail!! WHOO HOO!! took me forever to get the stuff to all pair up and update the firmware etc. BUT I've taken it up in the air twice now. got a little squirrely at one point but I think my prop guards and the line saved me from one tree. otherwise was very easy to fly. One thing, do you use courselock or home lock modes at all?
