Destin shore fishing

Coming to Destin next week for business. Going to be tied up during the days but I'm thinking about maybe doing some night time fishing. Not bringing the boat, so does anyone have any recommendations on shore fishing? I've been told the pier and jetties is basically my only options over there. I'm cool with the pier but am looking for options.

Try Grayton beach state park. Its on 30A between Destin and Panama City. Use a surf rig, a sand spike and a lawn chair and kick back. Use dead shrimp and whiting, black drum, redfish and an occassional sheephead are all possible.

Thanks. I figured on a little beach fishing. Might hit the jetties and the pier too. Going to the Cape after my week in Destin is over so I'll be getting a big dose of long needed salt.
