ML Tip Planning

Alright guys I need a little direction please. Im planning my first trip down to ML this weekend and it doesnt look like the wind/weather is going to cooperate. Ive been doing my research and I have my top spot and until i started checking the weather I thought I had a game plan but...

Originally i wanted to try the flats on the south end but since the wind is gonna be howlin im thinking that the N end might be a better option, more protection from the wind.

Not looking for your fishing spots, i enjoy putting in the time and work and i realize this will be more of a learning trip than anything but this being my first im just trying to make the most out of it.

if the wind is real rough I would check in tiger shoals(back in the islands) and up a little north of georges bar around hong kong flats and Eldora. theres good water throughout all those areas

Of course that will probably change but who knows....

If it is windy, awFSUducks is right on. You could launch at Riverbreeze or Canaveral Seashore and head southeast/south respectively.

they will change that forecast countless times before the weekend.. sometimes it changes in your favor and sometimes it doesnt.. it's hard to find windbreaks out in the ML on north or south winds because of the relatively short and stunted mangroves and other shoreline veg.. best bet would be to play it by ear on which spot to go to.. what will you be fishing out of?

sounds like you can launch that just about anywhere around there.. that being said, don't count out the north indian river which is literally right nextdoor to the ML .. depending on wind, you may find more shelter there.. and the fishing is equally as good if not better.. lots of bigguns on that side
