Went out the other evening in 15mph winds to a normally popular flat that was completely deserted of anglers. Lucky me as the fish were happy and tailing! Found the fish to be feeding on fiddler crabs along the grass and had the perfect fly for them!

Running the channel it was spitting white caps over the bow on a NE wind. Found some really good wind protection in about 8" of water and by the time I got this shot it had calmed down pretty good about 30 minutes before the sun went down which is my favorite time of the day.

Know what you mean. Early A.M. And early Eve. To dark can be the calmest and most peaceful. Although I like a little later A.M. This time of yr, after the sun gets up and warms things up a little.
