Caught a bunch of fat ones last Thurs. Largest was 8-0, also a 7-13, a 6-9, a 6-2 a 5-3 & several 4's. Three of them in one spot. I admit I was cheatin' w/shiners! I had been doing nothing but flippin' (and casting some toads) for the last year but decided to give my back a rest. All but one caught on Stradic 3000 w/10 lb braid. All released healthy, of course.
It was heavenly!...until after sunset when the engine wouldn't start cuz I ran down the batt running the livewell most of the day. My jumper was dead & I tried approx 15 times to pull start it. No luck...Took me 3.5 hrs to pole 2 miles back to the ramp in total darkness. (So much for giving my back a rest, huh?) Clear night, no moon but the star show was Awesome & the USAF launch of new GPS satellite was Spectacular.
All things considered it was well worth it for my best day ever bass fishing.

Sucks about the poling back. Rough, at least you weren't battling low to negative tides in Flamingo.
