Looked at the radar Friday morning and thought tankered and I could get in half a day. Got down to find it windier than expected so picked up 50 shrimp just in case we had to hide in a creek. Made two drifts at 8 knts and managed 3 nice trout up to 23 inches and missed a few other big girls on top water but it was hard to fish with the wind so we headed back to the back of a creek even though the trout were out there. While we were out front power drifting for trout a fog bank rolled in. The first spot I posted up on was over whelmed with 16 inch redfish. After catching about 40 of them we trolling motored back a little bit more but heard the thunder in the back ground so bailed back to the ramp. Well as we exit the creek the rain starts. Not heavy yet but still rain. Still only have about 100 foot of sight due to fog. Get back to the ramp and put the boat on the trailer and head up to the shoe café to get some lunch and look at radar. Still in a heavy fog. While eating lunch the bottom falls out. The storm rolls threw but the fog never lifts. We decided to wait it out and see if it clears up. About 1 the rain stops and the fog lifts and the wind dies. We head back out and finish of our limit of trout and reds and add two nice bonus sheephead to the box. I left the camera in the truck due to weather so only took a cooler shot.

Sometimes it pays to wait it out!!!
West coast. I'll let Scott elaborate more if he wants to but he's kinda secretive having been a guide and tournament angler.
Old habits die hard I guess.
