We got a late start not leaving the inlet until 7:30. Ran out to 125' stopping at several bait pods on the way with nothing showing. put lines out at 125' and trolled east. Had first knockdown at about 9am, and didn't even have time to turn him, he was on a mission. Reset and got a short strike 45 min later. Trolled all the way out to 380' with nothing. Turned around and headed back in keeping an eye on the weather building to the north and east. Got back to 170' and picked up 2 phins, one on a blue and yellow cedar plug and one on a red and white skirt. We had a great time with the whole family on the boat and learned a little for next weekend. And first fins for both anglers.

Great first post and fishing report. Sounds like a great day with the family. I bet they're ready to get right back out there and catch a few more dolphin now.
