1 down....64 to go

Today was slam #1 for 2014. Not sure if there will be a record 65 slams but i'm on my way. Took a pic of the snook since he was the surprise slam fish.

Only had 4 bites today and landed 3 fish but they were all about the same size fish...16 to 18 inches so no big deal. Saw a few nicer Reds but they were back to being persnickitty.

I had a nice 26 inch Red yesterday on a black & Gold CAL with a red head but my phone was acting up so I had to wait to today before it would load the photo...:shrug

I caught a bunch of ladyfish early then had two trout ....

Beat me to the post.... Weather was pretty crummy.
Had a friend and his father on the boat today, water was really low, granted it was low tide, but still, really low.

Got several of everything - including a nice flounder, just no snook. They had a good time, even became believers in the stories I would tell about how far the dolphin would travel when a fish is released -- fortunately it was just a lady fish, but I really hate when they do that. Getting tired of having to pickup and move because of them.

Think I passed you way down south -- you were heading down, I was heading back north.

    Nice fish!

you set the bar pretty high at 64 consecutive slams in a row. Good luck!

In a row?? Fat chance! If I get them in a season I'll feel happy.

Sure...but I need to add $75 in fuel money.... :rotflmao

I guess if I didn't want to get home to watch the Nationwide race at Daytona I could have tried to convert one of those finger mullet into a Tarpon.

Good job getting close to your slam. I know that adrenaline rush all to well, I'll bet that mullet was happy than you after that linesider turned away.
