Jonas faced his second open heart surgery this past August and came through it like the tough little trooper that he his. Though his heart will never be "normal", he has more heart than many grown ups I have known. Thank you for reading this and I hope you will give him your vote!

"Everyone's journey with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) is different, but we all gain scars along the way both emotionally and physically. When survivors come through procedures or pass certain milestones whether it be an echocardiogram, a cathertitzation or open heart surgery, we say they handled it "like a rock star"! We want every child and adult with CHD to feel good about themselves and be proud of who they are-they ARE Rock Stars! Our talented and lovely spokesperson, Valerie Azlynn is living proof of that! So come on, show us how you rock your scar!
We are looking for the best submissions from CHD Heroes that reflect a "Rock Star" theme!
Submissions will be judged based on overall photo quality and creativity within the "Rock Star" theme. The winner will be notified on or about February 14, 2014 by email. One winner from each age group will be awarded a prize pack valued at up to $100. The age groups are as follows; 0-3, 4-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18-99."
