Dude, this is Off Topic so I'm not sure if any of these guys actually fish :wink. Yeah, you can fish from shore till the life guards arrive then after they leave. You'll have a shot at snook and at least should be able to catch a jack or two.

Well, now is quite clear what I've suspected.
And yes, I think she's legally "hittable" until she is free. According to our justice timing you have several years of potential "strikes" in front of you :grin.
But remember that last one who had hit her got a lot of trouble.

I understand this is OT and good information is hard to find, but here it is.

Amanda Knox was tried and not convicted. If tried again and convicted, she will NOT be extradited. The Us sees this as double jeopardy and we have laws against double jeopardy. I would advise her not to leave the USA - ever.....

GTSR, she was convicted in the original trial & spent 4 yrs in prison. The guilty verdict was overturned in the 1st appeal. The appeal was overturned by the cassazione (supreme court) on a technicality and sent back to the appeals court. The 2nd. appeal reinstated the original guilty verdict. Now it goes back to the cassazione court.

Kinda like our courts where the death row prisoners spend 20 some odd years on death row. A big run around. (I'd laugh but it aint really funny.)

Exactly.
As I said before whe have 3 judgment degrees.
Actually she was considered guilty by the first (Assise court) and also by the second, the Appeal court (the first appeal, with a non guilty verdict, was avoided by procedural issues).
Now the final verdict (not more appellable) will come by 3rd degree of judgment, the Cassazione court.

BTW in any case she must convicted (guilty or not) according to the italian law.
