I like it. Wonder if a ladyfish would fit down that baby? I have a hand grinder but it's a PITA and way slower

Way,way,way slower. Worst case deal , you'll have to fillet one side and head it to fit.
Or , cut the hole bigger !

I'd cut the hole bigger, fish are softer then wood. It should be able to handle a ladyfish.
