This is my chore day, but I've been Jonesing for a BIG red and the weather was too good to resist.
Crusty is down for repairs so I stuffed the Old lady's Yak in my SUV and off I went.
Launched at 3:30 as it started clouding up :crossed a short paddle later and started casting a jig/gulp to the oysters. was not long before I saw a swirl and set the Hook on a Nice fish. 8 or 10 min later I pull a 25in Red into the Yak for a quik pic. There where others around, but they were shy.
After about an hour the rain moved in, and I had to head in. At least I caught one good one.
Not a fishing Kayak by any stretch, Bet ya I have one soon tho:grin

Hey Louie, I know you say yer eyes are still good at yer age but maybe you should rethink that and buy yerself a pair of cheaters! Either that or go back and reread Wind Splitters post again!! He didn't take the red home!!

I like ole Crusty better too Tom. And I wasn't ignoring your call, got it late in the day, too late to hit the course. We'll try next week sometime?

Ozello is good fishing, there's just a lot of ground available for fish to hide. could be people trying to ward you off

Use Zoom Salty Super Flukes instead of Gulp if pinfish and snappers are an issue.
Like most places around here you need to find the fish and then you need to feed them. It takes time on the water.
