SURPRISE DAY OFF PONCE

[ 5 miles off ponce Monday and this sail puts it to a freelined Cabo 40 what a surprise,i am a inshore guy and this fish about spooled us in a matter of seconds. We got him to the boat in about 30 minutes. What a display of speed!!!!

    Awesome, I love it when incredible things happen while fishing.
    I have been watching the sst charts and there has been a nice inshore temp break just south of Ponce the past few days.

    Just hitting a few bottom spots, (mangos,sheephead,a few snapper etc) enjoying the day. Water temp was 69 and the sail hit a Butterflied grunt.

    Great job on the sail man. Around what time of the day did you notice the 69 degree water? Most buoys are showing 66-67 inshore right now, that 69 temp mark is a very magical number this time of year. Thanks for any info,

    Water temp was from 68-69 all morning til about 3:00 when we left he hit around 1:30 ish I would guess it was definitely a experience for this inshore guy what a hoot!!

    firefly... I was in the 17' Key West towards your West and was pulling anchor to head in when I saw you hook into the sail. From where I was, it looked like a King. I saw you chasing it down and glad you got it in to get some nice pictures....
