Red Grouper out of CR this weekend

It looks like the wind may allow us to get out this weekend for some Red Grouper fishing.
Any ideas of water depth to try? I was thinking of going out to 90' to start or would the big boys be in any closer?
Wouldn't want to run that far if we don't have to. Haven't seen any reports lately but hope someone would chime in on where they might be this time of year after all these cold fronts.

The Inshore water up here off the Panhandle is really cold (surf T* ~55*) so I expect around here they have moved out to ~125'+
I would guess you're thoughts about starting ~90' are about right...
Even our Flounder have moved out >75'
There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

Gigging flounder in 5' < here.

    Just saying.
I am glad to only be a bird hunter with bird dogs...being a shooter or dog handler or whatever other niche exists to separate appears to generate far too much about which to worry.

The wife would love to fish for flounder but I don't know where to look for them around here.
I used to fish for fluke in NJ years ago and knew how to find them.

Any help on that would be appreciated. Would they be holding around the edges of the reefs in about 28' ??

We called it off for Saturday due to chance of fog.
Looks like we made the correct call.
    Lets hope for next saturday

Foggy days are the BEST grouper fishing!!! Usually not too windy when foggy also.
