port jigging slow

11am-3pm Fan casted a trout tout style shrimp jig near blue points marina channel for zero. Usually I get at least blues, ladyfish... So moved to north jetty for 20 throw back Blues, ladyfish, jacks, asorted small spadefish and one hero 3pound blue. No real take home fish found. Yet another learning experience.

Once your as far as the north jetty take the turn head towards the tip of cape I've heard pom's and whiting are being caught with live sand fleas available at dive shop.

Excellent advice. Much thanks. Also when up there throw out a live bait, stick it in the rod holder, and watch the occational black tip or bullred bend the rod before release.
