Chokoloskee to Everglades City

Last 3 years myself and a crew of folks have taken a trip down to Everglades City. We typically ran out of either Indian Key Pass and then worked our way along the outside islands or took Sandfly Pass if we were heading further southeast. This year we are staying on Chokoloskee Island (Parkway Marina) for the first time.

Is there a way to run from Chokoloskee over to Everglades City by boat without dodging oyster bars the whole way? I'm wondering specifically I suppose if you can run along the edge of Smallwood/Copeland Road towards Everglades City? I've always had good luck fishing Indian Key area and am just looking for the shortest route to there from Chokoloskee Island. I run a 2101 Mako with a 200 Optimax on it if that helps at all.

I appreciate any thoughts or guidance you folks may be willing to share.

Thanks,
Brad
