With the holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my family & friends about drinking and driving.
As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a"social session" out with friends.
Well, yesterday I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails, followed by some rather nice red wine.
Feeling pretty good I still had the sense to know that I may be over the limit. That's when I did something that I've never done before ... I took a cab home!
Sure enough on the way home there was a police road block, but since it was a cab they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.
This was a real relief and surprise because I had never driven a cab before.
I don’t even know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it!!!

BE SAFE TONIGHT,and don't steal any cabs..take one home with the right driver!

Happy New Yr

Pretty funny. No cab activity for us, though. Hanging out at the house with a few friends and...

    Fried lobster
    Boiled / Broiled Lobster
    Stone Crab Claws
    Beef Wellington
    Fried goat cheese

Dang it man. Should have made the 2 hour drive west to come hang out with you!

Y'all be safe. I'll be in bed with Mama before the ball drops! :devil

I'll try to get some pictures!

Oh, and I have not intention of being up til midnight. I had hoped to brave the on / off rain and hunt, but wife said NO for New Years day. So, I'll stay up later than I would for a morning hunt, but will still be asleep relatively early.... think we're going to bundle up and do some flounder fishing tomorrow. Light rain, but no lightning.

Nice. That's the only way those deals work well. Have fun!

We professional drunks learned a long time ago to leave New Years Eve to the amateur drunks.....

    Seriously....have a safe and sane New Year...and a good 2014....

Whew! We dang sure left it to the amateurs. Only problem is that my professional liver has an amateur headache. Not sure if it was the gin martinis, the 5 or 6 craft beers, a handful of bud lights, or the obligatory champagne.

    Good eats, though.

Lobster chunks about to hit the grease. I'd thawed out 12 tails and the plan was to have some fried, and some boiled / broiled, but we only had 5 folks and lobster fry time we were pretty much stuffed. Just means that have 6 tails in 33 degree fridge that need to be dealt with.
