Here's the lowdown detail of the mighty SEC's bowl game results:

South Carolina beat the #19 team by a measly 10 points.
Texas A&M beat #24 Duke, barely, by 4 points at the wire.
Alabama got smoked by Oklahoma.
LSU beat UNRANKED Iowa by one TD at the end.
Georgia lost to UNRANKED Nebraska 24-19.
Ol Miss beat UNRANKED Georgia Tech by one TD.

The lone asswhipping handed out by an SEC team was Miss State, trouncing UNRANKED Rice 44-7.

And last but not least of the terrible news: Florida's football program is in the shi++er.

The SEC is IN DECLINE. When are you people gonna start paying attention to what I've been telling you all season long?

Well, if you think taking credit for your conference beating only two ranked teams so far out of 8 bowl games is worth boasting about, have at it. And those two ranked teams were almost not ranked at all. There used to be a time when the SEC would take down 5-6 ranked teams every bowl season.

In decline I tell you, but keep those rosy SEC goggles on and you'll not notice what everyone else sees.

Nobody gets to pick opponents. Are you telling me it was an accident that the SEC only got to beat 3 ranked teams out of all their bowl games? The reason is that the SEC didn't qualify for the Orange Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, and other bowls matching ranked teams. Dudes, LSU barely beat unranked Iowa - they should have beaten that team by 30 points.Alabama got spanked hard. Georgia got punked by a terrrible, unranked Nebraska team.

All in all, a very very mediocre bowl year for the SEC. Unless Auburn somehow beats FSU Monday night, it's going to be even more mediocre.

Considering we're discussing the SEC - the mightiest, strongest and most elite conference in the country, it is pretty mediocre if you look at who they beat; mostly unranked teams.
