The ACC really got shafted this year with it's match ups though, a lot of them were sacrificial lambs.

i.e. Dook vs Johnny Football? The score might be 70-30

But, when the best of the ACC beats the best of the SEC (FSU over AUburn) what will the SEC clowns say then?

I don't expect the ACC to have a great bowl record this season, we did our damage last year though I will say that. Although when it comes to FSU fans, we like for the conference to do well but we all know that it's FSU and nobody else. Sure, I'd like to see them win but most of our ACC pride just comes from always being the underdog and the expectations. Was I happy to see Clemson beat LSU least year? Yeah, but not because it was Clemson....it was because they beat an SEC team. Similar to GT vs USC.

If hell freezes over and Dook beats TAMU I'd be the first one to jab at the SEC, as opposed to prop up the ACC.

Admit it, you root for ACC teams in all bowls, as you should, and stop making stupid clauses....

FSU doesn't recruit based on the ACC, it's not a strong card to recruit when you're in SEC territory. The SEC as a whole plays that card with good reason. It's an easy argument to win when going against the B1G or ACC for example. Even the lower tier teams, Kentucky, Vandy, Miss State etc gain a lot of recruits just because they are SEC.

We recruit based on being a pipeline to the NFL, tradition and NC contention

Rooting for conference wins is to make people whose teams can't win conference games feel better about their teams inferiority. It seems to be most prevalent among fans of SEC teams and the rest of us find it laughable.

Do Dolphin fans root for the Jets? Eagle fans root for the Giants? Do they feel better when their conference rivals win? Of course not. That would be ridiculous. Just like a fan of a 4 win team taking pride in Texas A&M winning a game.
