Well long story short we didnt get drawn in so we took #5 standby hunt sucked never fired a shot in the 45 minutes we were there. So we sign in again get drawn for sat PM and get the spot I've been waiting for all season. Needless to say the birds were all over before and during our setup as I was out looking for my 5th bird I see a bird coming I get ready it passes me at about 50 yards so I pass on the shot as it was too windy to try, and the bird goes right over the spread into my GF and she nails her first shot and crushed her. Goes and picks her up turns out the hen ringer had a band on her!!!!

the crazy thing is my buddy nick that was with us that afternoon also killed his banded ring neck hen in the exact same spot 2 seasons ago and my first and only banded bird was also a double banded ring neck hen. So we ended that hunt one bird shy of a 3 man limit but she said she was fine with that

sunday am we finally got picked in the drawing got to a new spot and passed on hundreds of blue and green wing teal and ringers trying to have good light to actually see for sure what we were killing. Ended up that hunt killing 2 pintail hens a shoveler 11 grew wing teal drakes and hens a folvus and 3 blue wings

glad we had such a great weekend as this will be one o the last hunts for nick here in Florida before he moves and we are ga bound tomorrow after work to visit my dad and maybe whack a deer or a pig. Hope you all enjoy
