What do you guys use to hang things off your stand?

I have a Summit climber and I would rather hang my back pack then have to share valuable foot space with it. Rather then screw hangers in the tree I would rather keep everything simple and on my stand. Thought about drilling and securing hooks from the stand, but not sure thats the best idea. Whatcha ya'll got, thanks in advance.

Had this same problem, I just leave my bag on the floor or don't take a bag at all. I just stuff my pockets with what I need and head out.

I use a carabiner and zip ties although I'm not 100% sure I'm liking this particular setup. It may just need getting used to or it may need to be changed. The big problem is that the backpack hangs too low so now I'm hanging it off to the side...but I don't like that it adds that much weight to one side.
Before doing this I would wear my turkey vest when gun hunting and carry everything that way. I did it like this for probably 10 years and the only reason I went to a backpack was so I could keep more clothing in it, carry a game cam in/out and not get so hot with that extra layer. I can also carry a little bit more without having pockets bulging from all angles. And before the suggestion comes...I've gone through everything several times and only take what I know I'm gonna use/need.

I have an API stand and clip the carabiner from my pull-up rope on the loop of the pin that holds the chain. It comes off the top bar so it doesn't hang too low.

If you hang it off one side just be careful because the weight could cause the stand to tip if you lean that direction. I always use a ratchet strap on my top half so it can't tip sideways.

I hunt a summit too and have plenty of room to set bag on platform up against the tree. You must bring a huge pack.

I also use a summit and have a bag that goes across the front bar of seat section. I'll put a few things in there. I'll usually hang my range finder by a large string I put on it on the top bar near my left arm. As for my backpack I found the easiest thing was to just use a small carabiner through the small loop on the top of the backpack and then clip it in the channel the cable goes in on the top section. That keeps it within arms reach at all times and no too low. I'm not crazy about the idea of drilling holes in a already stressed piece of metal which is holding me way up in the air.

i have seen a strap that wraps around the tree with hooks attached to it but never used one.

I have 2 ways I carry all my stuff into the tree with me, STILLBROKE (above) has outlined the first way, and usually this is what i do when i bring my back pack up with me, works great too.

The 2nd way is : go to wal mart in the arts and craft section, look for both sided Velcro tape ( this costs $1.89 for 4 feet ). Next, go to wal marts hunting section and find the camo fanny bags they sell ( this costs $4.99 ). When you get home, cut the straps off the fanny pack. At the ends of the fanny pack on both sides there are loops made, cut velcro to length to strap the fanny pack to the side of your climber. Total costs is about $7.00, and you can bring just about anything in this fanny pack you can put into your back pack except a jacket. When i take jacket up with me i'll hang it on the back of my climber once i get up, never had any issues this way.

I take a spring clip and hook it to the loop on the top of my bag, clip the spring clip either on the cable of my summit or in the channel, then take the extra strap material hanging off the bottom of my bag and pull that up and tie in front of the area where the arm rest meets the gun rest, all on my left side....works pretty good. Just be sure and dig the climber into the tree good when you first attach it or it will sometimes tip until you get up inside it.

I have been nothing but pleased. This fanny pack has a top strap that you can wrap around the arm rest or front bar of your climber, and because the top of the pack is supported by a frame rod, you can hang it with the top open so everything is within easy reach.

I use a fanny pack and then expand the belt out to go around the tree. I set it about where my neck is over my left shoulder. I leave it half unzipped and arrange the items to be grapped up front. Just reach over my shoulder to get items. I found just the weight of this pack on the top piece could be a safety issue, could flip the stand top.
I put a few other items in shirt or pants pocket when I set up.

I use a carabiner on the top strap/loop of the pack and hang it from the summit cable. I use stabilizer straps so the cable is always kept tight and no chances if slipping. Done this for years with no problems

All good suggestions, I agree with not wanting to weight one side down. Im thinking of a caribener and hanging the pack of the front arm rest. That way it would keep the weight to the front and and maybe offer some concealment. Thought?

I did that with mine at first, and it was more convenient to have everything right there in front of me, but I had problems with it hanging too low and it was always in the way of my knees. Since I also have a footrest on my Summit this was a problem as the bag made it unusable.

I use the strap from my summit, strap it to the tree about 2 feet above the top section and use a caribener to clip my backpack on it. It doesn't slide, is out of the way and makes for easy access to whatever I need. Just dont forget the strap is on the tree, done that once or twice.

I just run a screw in hook into the tree off my left shoulder and hang it there. I have side pouches on the stand to place things I need to reach frequently like grunt tube, scent zapper, estrous spray, drink,snack and phone.

Thats what I have.
It has about 4-5 hooks.

I have para cord tied in loops around the top bar and clip whatever on to those loops. I also will tie a ratchet strap around a tree a few feet above my head and hang whatever off it.

Yeah I know it is a bit pricey. I actually bought mine off Archery talk classified ads. I found one in there for $85. Keep your eyes open in there and you can find deals.

Well, let's see… First off, it has a shoulder strap system to evenly disperse weight acrossyour torso. Secondly, it has a frame rod which allows you to hang it while open. It also has multiple pockets for different items. And last but not least, it is made with very high-quality components.

You can buy them at walmart. Wrap the sticky felt stuff around it.

Over the years, moved exclusively to climbers and the backpack had to go. Outfitted my stands with the Summit side packs and that holds everything I need. Thing is, the more gear you haul, the more gear dominates your hunt.

Another good accessory to have is a hook for a carpenter’s tool belt. You can clip it on the cable for the tree stand and hang your quiver off it. Or, other light gear.

I generally take a range finder, tool hook for quiver, and a carabineer on a piece of sort line to hold my bow. Haul line is wrapped around the foot of the stand, lineman’s belt around the stand arms. A bottle of water if its real hot. Thermocell is clipped to my belt.
