Well,having wacked a pig and shooting our limit of ducks on the last trip out,we decided to shoot our ducks this saturday and try for a deer. I drew a permit for STA 3/4 on the morning hunt.Ran into Downfodacount (Ray) and a few other friends. Good to see you Ray. Ended up in one of our holes but the shooting was tough. Not quite the number of birds and the ones there were getting hit hard. I only like to shoot at the birds working our spread,but every time I worked some birds,the shooting spooked them. Needless to say we picked our shots at the birds we wanted and scratched a 2 man limit by 11am. Ended up with pintails,drake gadwall,ruddy,blue wing teal,shoveler,and ringers. Not my best trip out but I will take it. We were going to go to my buddies property,but the hunting there has been bad this year with ongoing work on the property. I had an invite to hunt my mechanics property so we went there instead. The plan was to hunt the afternoon and then give STA 5 a whirl on Sunday morning.Well,we stopped for supplies at Walmart in Clewiston and turns out someone tried stealing the truck. S.O.B broke the door lock.:bang head
Ended up at my mechanics ranch and made it to the shooting house by 4pm. Really hard keeping our eyes open since we didn't sleep. Anyways,just before dark,we spotted some bucks cruising but had no shot. Ended up getting down and making a beeline towards them. Cut the distance down to 150-200 yards and picked out what I thought was the biggest. I was wrong,but it was still a doozy. Put the crosshairs on him and let my super six bark :machine-gun:machinegun:machine-gun
Nice buck down. By the time i finished cleaning ducks and deer it was close to midnight and we were dead. Ended up coming home the next morning.

Only thing missing was a saltwater and freshwater fish!
Full moons make me crazy and I go out and kill deer . Come to think all moon phases do that to me

No....it happened at the Walmart in Clewiston. I tell ya.....2 more minutes and they could have had my crossbow and 2 Berreta shotguns. I'd be one upset MOFO
Yes sir......happened around 1pm. Plain daylight.....we got lucky they didn't get in. Don't leave anything in the truck fellas. They could be targeting hunters. I had my canoe on the truck.
