Spent the morning throwing a spook jr in bone from about 7:30 - 11:00 this morning. Got three small snooklets and two reds. Snooklets went back to the water and swam off strong. Larger red came home for dinner... all in all - perfect fishing weather - overcast with some light rain. I was fishing some backwater areas that are only accessible by kayak - too shallow for boats to get to. Lots of fun on light tackle! Reds we caught in the open over sandy bottom and snook were all caught near the mangroves. Lots of activity deep in the groves - likely reds and snook chasing bait. Its good to see that the snook fishery is coming back after the cold front from a couple years back. Lots of little ones out there!
