Hit the water at low tide near the Skyway and made my way over to some flats while fighting skinny water and winds. When I finally made it over to my favorite sandholes I noticed the mullet thicker than I have ever seen them. Thousands of fat roe laden fish to the point I felt like I could walk across the flats on their backs. I started casting my greenback imitation and quickly landed 2 small reds followed by a nice 21". I worked around the flat but ended up staked out at my original location to get a rest from the wind. My next fish was a bruiser at almost 26" and very thick, you can see the fight below in the video. After catching this copper beauty I moved on in search of snook but only caught 5 snooklets. To end the day I headed over to my gator trout hole in hopes of landing, you guessed it, a gator trout. As I reeled in my trolling line to head back I get a hard hit from a stubborn fish which turned out to be another super fat 25" redfish. With that last fish I ended the day.
