I caught a lob that big once. tasted like cardboard. It's not worth harvesting a lob that big.

Interesting response. My buddies say that lobs in the 8 pound range caught in the Port Salerno area are good.

Big Lobster taste the same as the smaller ones but people try to cook a big one the same as a small one. Here is where they say the lobster was chewy or bland....A tail that size should be split in 4 pieces and then slow grilled while adding butter so it gets cooked evenly.Add some fresh garlic and enjoy.
