Wireless External Hardrive?

Anyone have one they would recommend? Looking for a 1T that can be accessed though our wireless network.

If any external drive is wired to your network, then you should be able to access it through your wi-fi???

I needs to be wired to something, as the HD itself is not going to have any wireless capabilities. Google 1 TB NAS.

They make small wireless harddrives that will connect to an iPhone, but I don't think I've ever seen a wireless one that'll connect to a network

I have a Seagate 1TB hard drive that is plugged into my wireless router. I use it as a backup and general storage. We can access it from any computer on the network.

Apples Time Capsule. 2 or 3 TB disk drive plus it's a router. Works with Windoze.

wait until icloud comes out...it is going to destroy every bit of wireless memory transferring soft(hard)ware out of the water

I'm not vouching for this product at all. I don't know what it is capable of, how it works, or what it doesn't do. I do know that some of our professors at UNF have been using them to back up the data in their offices.

I would look more for data reliability over wireless...that is just another way to lose all your data. Look more for something to store your data reliably. Until icloud data storage is more toward what I can afford, I would look into a simple raid array storage. Simple mirroring gives you more ease of mind., and hard drives are getting extremely cheap.
I know nothing about this unit, just first one I found...look into them if what you are storing has any value to you. Also, if you look into wireless USB hub, you can hook this up and usb printers and share them out to all your computers. Just a thought
