Looking for a solid beginner Fly Outfit

I know this question has been probably beat to death, but anyone care to share some good beginner 8 weight Fly Outfits? I'd prefer an Outfit (Rod,Reel,Line) to shave costs and make it a bit more simple to start out.

I've seen the Redington Pursuit and Path mentioned, are these good beginner Outfits? Thanks.

redington rods are as good as any other setup out there for the money and they have a good warranty.. a friend of mine has had several rods replaced over the years and they even upgraded a few of them to the newer rods..

Redington X2, get the lifetime warranty one. It's only a couple bucks more but will be worth it.

I bought a Redington Crosswater 8wt & an Okuma SLV reel years ago as a starter outfit & I still haven't found the need to upgrade. The reel is gonna have to be replaced soon, since it's finally starting to show signs of abuse, but I definitely got my money out of that setup.

They have the same deal for the redington crosswater at gander mountain. Just bought one for my girlfriend the other day. Not a bad little setup to get started

In my opinion, the best value and bang for the buck is the Redington Path Outfit. Note they have two 8wt 4pc outfits available, one freshwater and one saltwater (saltwater comes with a RIO saltwater Mainstream line).

What are you going after? If you're gonna go salt water wading, be certain to get a fully sealed drag.

The Reddington is a great option. You also want to look at Allen. They are doing some great things with very good customer service.
