I agree with everything else you posted, and maybe even this.
But, Columbus will be at minimum as stressful as Gainesville and the rest of the SEC. Right now there is a vocal crowd in Columbus who want to see Luke Fickell fired - a defensive coordinator who lost 7 starters last year and a defense who has not lost a regular season game since 11/26/2011. As a position coach Fickell has not officially lost a game since 2009. Think about that a minute. But fire that SOB just because he's letting teams get to many yards.
One of my fears with Urban is that he leaves Columbus in shambles like he has UF.
It honestly wouldn't bother me at all if OSU lost the next two games, MSU and probable Rose Bowl, because I want to see how he handles defeat. Is he going to tuck his tail between his legs and end up at University Hospital again? Or is he going to man up and do what needs to be done?
One of the reasons Tressel was so loved was that even in "down" years he went and kicked Michigan's ***. His first season I think the Buckeyes were 7-5, but they beat Michigan.
I will probably have reservations with Meyer until OSU has it's first "down season". After that I'll know what kind of guy he is.

Fickle should be fired…. He was a “token” retainer coach as a show of good faith.
tOSu will lose v FSU, the barners or Mizzu IMO.

There is a lot of truth to this post. I do think there is a lot of pressure on this MSU game. The goal in Columbus has always been to beat Michigan AND win the Big Ten. If both of those are done everything else will take care of itself.

We will see. I'm sure he did not take defeat well in Gainesville. I'm curious to see how he handles it after the contract with his family.
I thought it was very classy of Meyer to keep Fickell and Vrabel on defense. Fickell is a die hard Buckeye and always will be. There is some serious talk of Fickell taking the head coaching job at FAU. Personally I would like to see him stay at OSU and study under Meyer for a few years. That would give Fickell the opportunity to learn from two incredible head coaches; Meyer and Tressel. Fickell could then develop his own style, a mix between the two, and take over at OSU in 3-4 years when Meyer leaves.
In my opinion Fickell has coached and recruited some of the greatest line backers OSU has ever seen.
Fickell doesn't have much talent wise to work with in the secondary. That is a product of the 2010 dealings with tattoo gate I think. It was a tough recruiting year. In my opinion he gets a pass at least until the defense blows a game, and it's come close this season and last but it hasn't happened YET.
Just for example, including Fickell's interim head coaching year you have to go back to 2010 for the 8 losses the Gators had this year. Three years and not ALL of those were defensive related. You can't pin much on him is the point I'm trying to make.
