And you don't think OSU would hang right in and hang 50 on Fsu? Have you watched The Buckeyes offense play this year? (dont bring up defense) It would be a shootout for sure. Which personally for me would be more enjoyable than a 6-9 final all Fg's.

You had me until right here. OSU fans travel better than any other school in the country. OSU is the most consistent team in college football for the last FIFTY YEARS. OSU currently is sitting on a 24 game winning streak - you can over look it but the voters wont.
Fact is if OSU beats MSU by 1 point and Auburn beats Mizzou by 50 - OSU goes.
Say what? Again? When was the first time undefeated OSU was on the outside looking in sports fan?

Auburn is playing on a prayer. A couple fluke plays and they aren't even in the top 15. They aren't that good, imo.
No it won't. I suspect it will only get worse as the number of one loss teams is always more than the number of undefeated teams. You might have 10 one loss teams trying to get in. It's going to be ugly until the play off opens up to 8 or 16 teams.
I haven't read much in to the play off formula but I was under the impression that only conference champions would get in. Meaning the 4 teams will only be made up of 1 team from a conference.
I think the Big Ten gives the ACC a run for it's money. Lets not pretend the ACC is some power house because you have one decent team this year.

I'm sure OSU is over .500 on the last weekend of the season. It has only been the last 2 years that the Big Ten added a championship game so prior to 2011 OSU's last game was against Michigan and I only remember 2 loses in the last 6-10 years.

1. I already said in another thread that OSU is one of the most profitable and well recognized teams in all of CFB. The main reason I don't want OSU in the game? Is I plan on going, and if OSU makes it the tickets will be 3x as much than if an SEC team makes it. FACT.
2. Nobody will be shocked if the SEC champ jumps OSU and makes it to the NCG. It is a longshot, but I wouldn't keel over.
3. Undefeated OSU on the outside? 2012, sports fan :wink
4. When the game is announced, I will be more than willing to place a wager on this game with you. I did just win a $20 giftcard from Frank :-) I believe we will open as favorites, and I wouldn't be shocked if it was in the -9 range.
5. Auburn is the team you don't want to play after all the magic. Hail mary, missed FG for TD, etc They are riding high on emotion and have that "destiny" feeling to them. I think Mizzou beats them (2nd best rushing attack, and the 1st or 2nd best WR corps in the country right up there with FSU)
6. It will come down to strength of schedule, something that will hurt both OSU and FSU playing in "weaker" conferences. This is why FSU made some serious strides in attempting to schedule better OOC games for the next few years. Look at our schedule for next year, it's much stronger than tOSU's
7. I'm not saying the ACC is a powerhouse, I'm saying the ACC is better than the B1G. Don't kid yourself because you have 1 good team....Michigan State :wink

How well do FSU fans travel? I suspect that it would be like a home game for OSU out there.
I still think I saw that the teams are the conference champions, but I don't recall where I saw that.

Florida State is probably going to win it all — and deserve it
Florida State has a really **** good football team, and it's looking like that outfit will be the last really **** good team standing at the end of this season.
All it needs to do to get to Pasadena now is beat Duke. That will not be hard, I think.
Of the other really **** good teams I see on the landscape, Alabama's got a loss, Auburn's got a loss, Missouri's got a loss, Oklahoma State's got a loss, and Baylor's got a loss. Ohio State's a half-tier down from really **** good, but is the only team likely to get a shot at FSU, and while Urban Meyer's got some experience with preparing a team for a national championship game by playing the "They say we have no shot" card, I'd still rather see Ohio State than Auburn or Missouri or Oklahoma State if I were an FSU fan.
And FSU has done what it must do to get to a BCS title game under the current framework: Annihilate everything in its path to make up for what it lacks in strength of schedule. The Seminoles beat Clemson, Miami, Florida, the three toughest teams on their schedule, by 37, 27, and 30. And the Clemson and Florida games were both on the road. And the Clemson game should've been a 44-point win.
You can complain about the ease of playing an ACC schedule, about how FSU got turnovers that precipitated an avalance early against Clemson and how Miami lost Duke Johnson and how Florida lost everyone, about how Jameis Winston is still playing, and extraordinarily, despite the specter of a **** allegation. But don't try to tell me or anyone that Florida State hasn't put together a season deserving of playing for a national title. That would be lying.

OSU has a stronger SOS than fsu.
Luckily neither of them had to face Georgia Southern!
