I would raise them first and eat them later.

Back when I was 12-13 y.o. I cleaned rabbits for my neighbor 25 cent a head. That was in the mid 60's a quarter would buy as much candy & soda pop as a $5 bill would now.

Let them live in the house, the used one.

Back "in the mid 60's a quarter would buy" a soda pop & a candy bar. Soda vending machines were 10, 15, then 20 cents, as the small refilled bottles gave way to 12 oz cans & quarter vending machines.

And "a $5 bill would now" buy you a 12 pack of Coca-Cola 12 oz cans at Publix, so it's not actually anywhere near "as much".

Suggest anyone considering raising RABBITS see Michael Moore's classic story 'Pets or Meat'.

Yes, and there is another pic of them in my signature, commonly called a "Squid Row" on the boats out of San Diego.

You could still get 5 cent candy & 16 oz topp cola for a 5 cent in the mid 60's Hersheys candy didn't go up from 5 cent to 10 until 1969.
Go buy a 16 oz drink at a convience store today $1.29 at least & .80 cent to $1.00 for a candy bar.
