a plug for

I needed a seastar helm rebuilt so I called thinking id get a answer machine on a sunday
they awnsered the call I asked if I could delever it and they met me at the shop. and had a ubit rebuilt and ready to go by the time I got there 2 hours later !
all on a sunday :Rockon

    Awesome to hear! I think I called them about rebuilding my piston unit, but they were a bit pricey compared to a local guy a found. But I will keep them in mind, next time I have a problem.

    Good info to pass along , I usually rebuild my own , You just need to inspect the shaft for scratches or pitting and then remove and re-install new seals. Its actually a real easy procedure and the Seastar web site has a great page to help walk ya threw the bleeding procedure which you will need to do after installing the unit. Seastar sells a rebuild kit which comes with two seals and a wrench I think for removing the seals .
