Why did it take multiple injuries for officials to finally close the jetty?

It's a good thing that observation area was new with new railings, or that scene would have been much worse.

Why in the hell would you need an "official" to tell you not to go out on the jetty?? If you need gov to keep you safe, poor you.

O.K. By your argument, there should be no speed limits, no gun laws, parks should never close and hurricane evacuations should never be mandatory. Some government action is sometimes necessary to protect morons from themselves or others.

yep,,,,, hurricane coming, so lets let the dumb azzes out so our lifeguards, firefighters, etc have to go out and help them when they want to be stupid....please. I'm a full believer in the Darwin theory.....................let the gene pool thin itself out....
