Looking for a good entry level video camera, for outdoor use.
Somthing rugged, with telephoto, light weight.
Not opposed to a digital camera that has video capability.
Budget around $400-$500
Somthing beyond a gopro. This is for my son who attends a art magnet high school program, to learn with.
Thanks,

Good in low light, fairly good range on the Telephoto lens, and SD memory, priced right.

If he is going to shoot a lot in daylight then this camera because of the better sensor.

Here is a good, inexpensive, fluidhead tripod.

We are at to VERY close to the bottom of the "decent" market, here, believe me.
Also if you want to see the look of the "look" of the sensor, I have woven some footage from the Canon with some footage off a Nikon DSLR in the video below. I had a chance to use on in Atlanta. While I was grateful for the chance to use the camera, I won't buy one. But, that is just me. For a rank beginner it will be fine. >>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBVxgn5vH-E&feature=c4-overview&list=UURyKWGJnoXjdY8ZMTUopUtQ
