Last fished the day prior to opening of snook season. Killed that day offshore. Knew the conditions wouldn't be great today with all the rain, so headed off short. Went out 15 miles from caxambus and the 1-2 ft seas were 2-4. Reached the spot and decided to head in given the condition. Head down south, toward fakahachee. Water looked like chocolate milk. Needless to say was able to get 10 good mangroves, 3 short snooks and 2 short reads. Never changed the leader so the 40lb floro didn't seem to keep the snappers away. I have stopped looked at the predicted wave height since always seems wrong. Unfortunately, with the snow birds returning, will be a long time before I get out again.
