FORT LAUDERDALE TARPON on @thelazymarlin

Hey guys,

here is a link to a short video we just made of our first tarpon landed aboard @Thelazymarlin. No harm was done to the fish and was released to fight another day. Caught it on 15lb mono with 80lb leader, freelining a chunk of bonito (bimini bonito is the trick!) Hope you guys enjoy and make sure to follow us on instagram @thelazymarlin We are estimating this tarpon at 40lb. This is the first one we have landed out of about 5 that jumped off.

Nice Work Capt. Are you starting to see the tarpon showing up in the inlet? The mullet should start showing up soon as well.

Thanks guys! Yes i have been seeing tarpon rolling near 17th st bridge and in the inlet early AM when i head offshore. However, they are here all year long in the intercoastal, "Residential ****" as i call em.
