Lubbers Quarters, Abaco October Trip Expectations

duncanfiveduncanfive Posts: 25 Deckhand
Hey Guys,

Alright I am looking for some feedback on fishing expectations for October. We are going to depart from Riviera Beach and run my 34' Venture to Lubbers. I am hoping to do some trolling and it looks like it is a pretty slow time of year.

Any input would be helpful. I do have some areas, Jurassic Park, Hole in the Wall, and I few others I can't remember.

Thanks in advance!!

Ryan

sorry, been out flying for the last 10 days and just saw this. I would absolutely plan on working the ledges for wahoo. especially around that mid october full moon. if you are staying on lubbers, just pop out tilloo cut and either work the hopetown ledge straight to the east, or head south and work the ledge off the pelicans. its charted. very steep, ( think bimini).
as to phins and billfish, slow. there always seem to be small blackfin around though. If you have a really calm day and want to burn some fuel, a run south to hole in the wall is a real player. big hoos down there as well. again, that ledge is charted.
inside, you can spear and lobster all day long.
send me an im where you are staying on lubbers, we have lots of neighbors there.
    good luck and have fun.
