Of course there are rooms there, we are no longer dealing with a fisherman. This person has a vested interest bringing Money to big game club. Take everything he says with a grain of salt.

I remember when Paul left Bimini and said he was glad to off the island. Tired of chasing bonita and little tunny. Glad to be back in the NE where the real fishing is. Now selling out to RW when he has two marinas right next door. Really, what's next

  • I still don't understand why BGC did not work with the locals at Bluewater and Sea Crest. During the old Bacardi days, Several times I stayed at either Bluewater or Sea Crest. The tournament committee that used to deliver rum in the morning with their costumes on came all the way to Sea Crest for the entries. It used to be a total Island thing! Then they all went to the South end of the Island to wave us all on in the Bimini start.

    I'm disappointed in BGC.

BBGC have done far more to aggravate me than impress me. BBGC would be building their own pier if they had the cash flow, they are **** out the island just as much as Resort World, they just dont have the capital.

BBGC is owned by a company in California if that tells you anything. Yes they hire Bahamians cause they have to, then the money is shipped right back to the US. And Paul wonders why the Bahamians ganged up and threw his charter boat our off the island. (yes I know you claim they are your friends and tell you what you want to hear.)

Been this side for 24 hours. Quite a few crossed yesterday/ More today. One out of daytona found a little of the predicted wave height but he said it was glassy and 20 seconds period. Others from this end down to 26 feet said it was great. Catches from 1-12 wahoos on every boat practicing. Cobias thick in marina. I got one last night. 4 wahoo to 40 lbs today... Internet is out on island and even phone is disrupted. Keep trying... Stealing expensive sat net right now. Keep trying to call island if you need help. Some calls getting through.

On the subject of other locations. We are filling them as well. Sea Crest is filling fast even might be sold out and where we have several film crews at. Saw Michael here last night and he appreciated it. We do work with them! RW came heavy and my job is to run this tournament, not take sides. I'm an employee of Big Game for these tournaments and if management tells me to do something I do it. I have a kid in college, hot wife and house to support and am not about to get fired for not doing the best that I can at my job!

The bonita and skippies comment was when I left Palm Beach... Never caught many this side. I love the marlin in late spring and wahoo in fall/ winter. Hated leaving island and friends but not the political junk. Yes I do love fishing the north east as well. If you're gonna try and quote me get your facts straight!

On the final note about being tossed that emanated from a boat not in this marina with family ties to the highest level of government.

good job paul and thanks for the report. keep working at it. none of these buffoons are doing anything but blowing hot air from their air-conditioned houses in south florida. they are not far beyond the limousine liberals of the world.

You just took a side.... One boat at Blue Water pissed you off so you blacklist them from your tournament. An entire resort enslaves the Bimini people and commits disastrous irreversible damage to the island and you throw them business like no other. You make no sense.

My team just hired lawyers to challenge Resort World in the Bahamian court. So yes, we are blowing some very hot air.

The one boat did irreversible damage to my livlihood and dozens of others on this island including staff at BGC, and all the little shops that benefited from the people I was bringing to the island. I love Betty on the hill like my own family. I do what I can to fill her restaurant but even she suffered at the actions of that one boat.

We have boats and guests up and down the line including YES Bluewater. Browns, Sea Crest, Blue water, Sands, and yes RW all benefit from this event! Bottom line is I put 180 people on this island this weekend to help benefit the whole island, not just part of it.

Like I said, I work for somebody. I am not self employed in this venture and will follow orders to feed my family and educate my daughter. Now if you want to pick up that tab I will gladly entertain conversation with you. If not, go train wreck some other thread! You're not worth burning the bandwidth on this any longer.

Replace "one boat" with "Resort World" and I agree with your story.

An hour or so to go to kick off. Little spray rain and wind did nothing to cool the people down. They is fired up! Dock is alive and a few pilings are like loose teeth.. Thats what happens when you let the owner drive. 10 gallons of punch 5 cases of titos a whole lot of Sands beer ready to flow... Dozens of trays of conch and fish are being prepped... Still have a line of people singing in... Not sure how many. Don't matter now. Its over flow crowd to the street. Smackdown is a living breathing animal all of its own!!!

One boat ... The same one that got the last boats thrown out long before RW was ever in the picture... Godfather to the Foreign Ministers son has some serious clout in these parts...

Record Crowd! They were STILL signing up when I got done with Caps Meeting. Mid 30s some where 200 hungry tourney people and 100 or so natives tasted the love as well.
Ok thats done... Some got greasy, some went to bed early. Some gettin greasy now! Wired for sound the TV crews got a little me and a whole lot of good time. Looks to be about 44 "Added bonuses" in it... Secured under really heavy armed guard... Gonna make a PBJ and watch a Dirty Harry dvd now! :)

It was a pretty brutal day... Wind was not what was forecast and it was special. We raised two sails and a rat blue early in the day then couple cudas for the rest. One bite I think was a hoo... About half the fleet did good and the other half barked at the moon...

I'll get pics up in little while. Weather nicer today. People I had were part of a large group with several boats. Several didn't want to play from that group so we pared it down and I drew the short card for dock duty. I needed the time for tourney stuff as well....
Good thing I am at dock cause I don't carry my phone on me when fishing. Got an emergency call. One boat 50 miles east tore a motor off his transom taking his steering for the other and left some bolt holes! Last couple hours have been coordinating rescue/ salvage ops. CG in route with chopper to evac... Coordinate salvage ops here then go bring the crippled girl home... Man this is a long morning!
