West wall 8-26-2013
It was slow and windy but I managed a couple of reds. Took about 45 mins before I got the first strike. Had to of been a big red because it nibbled the bait before it took it (Classic redfish having to turn it's face for topwater). The strike was very similar to a big snook, nothing spectacular until the fish realized it was hooked. I saw the red's fins made a couple of runs then spit my lure. I then started to retrieve very slowly followed by long pauses. With that retrieve I caught two and had a big strike but did not hook up. Water was super tanic and fresh. NOTHING BEATS TOPWATER !!!!
