So let's get something out of the way right off the bat and feel free to pile on. I suck. I was hoping for an opening that never appeared.

No excuse other than life's obligations piled up on me and I could not find an agreeable date. This guy was getting married, this guy had an FSU game (paid no attention to the guy with the Ole Miss game on his schedule), this guy had to chase some strange one weekend or another. Then there was and is my schedule.

So 10K Showdown will be moved to the spring in March/April of 2014. Sponsors are still in and we are a go.

Government Shutdown didn't help and was unexpected.
Usually only weather can move this around.

The consensus is April is full of conflicts.That leaves March and May.
May has Mother's Day and Memorial Day which are traditionally family days.
May 3rd was discussed but CCA is running a tournement out of Choko that day,so there will be 25 extra boats in the area.

Bobber may be on to something w/ March 29, Spring fishing at it's peak w/ good tides.

Whatever date Pucker Factor and Tail chaser choose, will inconvience someone.
