Rays ticket question

aqua-holicaqua-holic Posts: 232 Deckhand
Ok. Longtime rays fan and its been couple years since i've went to a game and the family has the fever now, so we want to start going more often. Whats the best way to get 3-4 tickets and decent seats, without a big hassle or bill . Whats your routine when wanting to go to the Trop ? Thanks

I use Stub Hub a lot. I have also purchased tickets numerous times from a particular day of game street seller located at the Sunoco gas station on the corner of 16th and Central. He's always there on game days and is easy to deal with.

Not saying I do it... But unless it's a big name team, there are plenty of seats. Buy the $12.00 tickets and then sit in what ever seat is open. You can check there interactive seating chart before the game on there website to give you a good idea of an area with a lot of unsold seats. We have never had a ticket checked in all the years we have gone. Also four or more people in your car and you park free.

Now for all the people that want to say I'm stealing or defrauding, I pay the $9.00 Beer price so I think that make us even...

Last night was $2 kid night. I got 4 tickets for $45 in section 128 including my full price ticket, 2 boys and 13 yo nephew. That's right behind the Rays bullpen. Parking was also free in the East lot since I had 4 people in the car. I brought some snacks in, but still spent $80 on food and beer. :huh I grabbed an Evan Longoria foul ball in the 1st so my oldest boy got a souvenir...

I buy tickets at the box office weeks in advance. Cheapest way, no fees. And I've never paid to park and Park 1 block away. But that's a secret lol. If you have 4 people it's free to park in the lot. Or use the free shuttle from the downtown garage. It's $1 an hour there.

What time do theparking lots normally open ? We are trying to get there early to do some tailgating and so the family can stand in line for the gnomes they've been wanting. When do they start handing them out ?
