Toyota Tacoma 4x4 ?

Looking to trade my truck in on a new Toyota Tacoma 4x4. My question is with a 4 cylinder engine and 4:10 gears will it have plenty of power for pulling my boat(1448 Jon boat) and a trailer with lawn mower. Does anyone have one ?

I did not know you could do that. Do you have a second hitch on the back of your boat trailer?

I had a 2008 2wd 4 cyl. It pulled my Gheenoe and 5x8 trailer with a 4 wheeler without a problem.

I had a '92 and it didn't have a problem pulling a bigger boat than that. I often used the low side 4x4 when pulling out of the ramp though. Mainly cause it was there.


I sure miss that truck, best truck I ever had.

You will find that when Toyota gives a towing limit it is pretty accurate. The truck you describe is probably at least 3500 pounds tow limit.
